One thing about the fashion industry that we love... is it accepts all styles, personalities, cultures, colors, education and genders. Fashion is one thing that shows who you are without even speaking. Say you love the color purple or your favorite city to be inspired by to dress is Seoul (like Khushi's) you can simply wake up tomorrow and just do it. You do not need permission to explore what your fashion or style is... you simply just explore to find it.
When we sat down with Khushi for an interview in early March, we absolutely loved that she found her style and found fashion inspiration within herself. Donatella Versace used to hate being asked what her inspiration was as she said it seemed like the reporter wanted a place or a thing to be the answer.... One place, one thing. "A trip to Morocco, a vacation to Greece, etc." But the actual answer was - everything and everyone was her inspiration. She found it within herself by just looking around her own reality and moments. And found inspiration in everyday life that came out in her style.
Khushi seemed to be on that same page... giving us answers such as....
Were you nervous to go into a market that is already so saturated with influencers, content creators, celebrities and bloggers? What made you do it anyway?

- No, I was not nervous to join this market because I am aware that my story and way of expression truly make me stand out. I started modeling and influencing to represent more people like me on big stages. I started modeling to challenge stereotypes like dark women cannot model or short women cannot walk in runway shows. Representation matters a lot in today’s world, it is a way to reach more people and make them feel confident about themselves. I also want to seem like a relatable and approachable person, to whom people can resonate with.

Who was your biggest influence in fashion?

- My biggest influence in fashion has always been myself. I have explored several styles and tried to find my style.

Who believes in you most? Who helps you bring your desires and your passions to life? Who shares the love for fashion with you?

- My girlfriend believes in me the most. She encourages me and helps me make the best fashion choices.

What would you like to see changed in the fashion industry over the next few years? Not influencer related - but the actual fashion world and industry.

- I wish to see more representation from marginalised communities- like the LGBTQ+ community. I also wish to see models of all shapes and sizes.

KHUSHI LANDS SPOSORSHIP WITH AGENCY TO ENTER THE RUNWAY
Khushi was recommended to our agency through multiple outlets, including the Miss Manchester Organization where she was a finalist. On March 23rd, she will compete in the Miss Teen Global UK as a finalist.

This includes the opportunity to now walk at Fashion Shows all over the world, to attend VIP Runway Shows as a guest, to attend beauty events, casting calls, red carpet events, etc. in cities such as New York City, London, Paris, Milan, Manchester, Miami, Dallas, LA, Ibiza and other cities across the globe.
