As we bring on our hand selected influencers for our clients. Let's get to know them. First up, let's chat with Modelle from the UK on what she is up too and would like to accomplish as a social media influencer and model.
Getting to know you:
Have you won any awards? I won Miss Publicity at the Miss England semi finals, advancing me to the grand finals. I competed in Miss Swimsuit UK, where I placed top 5 and advanced to the world finals Swimsuit USA where I made top 12 out of the whole world!
I also competed in Miss Manchester where I made top 5 again and won the public vote, which is how I advanced to the Miss England semi finals. Through my pageantry I have had more than 10 different press articles and I spoke on the Capital radio station.
Would you like to model?
Yes, I have always loved modelling.
Would you like to walk or attend Fashion Week?
Absolutely! I would love to walk in fashion week and I would also love to watch fashion week!
Were you nervous to go into a market that is already so saturated with influencers, content creators, celebrities and bloggers? What made you do it anyway?
No, I wouldn’t say I was nervous. I see this as a great opportunity to learn from others and adapt to my own style. I have always wanted to build a career around social media and Modelling, I see this as a great opportunity for me.
How would you describe your style and define it?
I don’t think I have a set style, it’s more how I feel on the day. I love playing around with fashion, I have always been a fan of the Y2K style and anything 90s!! With that being said, I love exploring new styles. I enjoy being fun and cheeky, nothing is too serious! I’m here to enjoy my time.
Where are you located? Would you say that the city you reside in plays a role in your style?
I am located in Cheshire, however I am not too far from Manchester. I would say Manchester plays a bigger role in my style, also social media plays a big part of my style. I love taking inspiration from other people across the world, not just influencers.
How would you describe your social media presence?
I like my social media to be colourful, fun but still trendy. I take my photos on a camera so I always have high quality posts, I can be classic though!
To be honest, it depends on the season. In summer, my posts are probably more ‘in your face’ than my wintertime posts, they tend to be more classic. I like my social media to portray me in my captions, photos and bio.
Do you have a vision when it comes to your looks or do you feel like you 'wing it'?
I have always visioned myself to have that Victorias Secret supermodel look, the timeless elegant make up and long bouncy hair. My fashion sense is definitely inspired by the years 1990s-early 2000s and I love the Mobwife aesthetic. My looks really depend on how I feel at the time. I take a lot of inspiration from tv series and celebrities, not to mention the holy grail Pinterest.
What works for you? Do you plan your content or do you go day by day?
When I had more followers, I planned my content a lot more than I do now, as I am rebuilding my instagram page and my following I post as much as I can, using my old photos makes it much easier to rebuild the page, it’s the followers you have to work hard for!
What are some of your favorite staple pieces in your closet? Your must haves when creating a look?
My staple pieces consist of my low waisted Jeans but with that being said I would not be me if I didn’t have my big hoop earrings. For me, accessories make an outfit. They are the dots that connect everything together. As well as shoes, I have a crazy collection of shoes especially heels. I just love wearing my little kitten heels and switching it up to my big platform stilettos when I’m feeling extra confident.
What is it you try to accomplish on your social media? Is it for yourself? For your followers? For both, etc. What are you thinking about when posting?
I want to be that cool girl icon that other girls look at for inspiration. I want to inspire all my fellow women to dress how they want and to just have fun with life!! I like to use my social media to boost my modelling career as well as my online presence. When I’m posting I’m thinking about how one day people will know me as an influencer they want to work with.
Who are you influenced by?
I love Cindy Kimberley, Sofia Vergara, Pam Anderson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton and the list goes on…
If you could describe your style with a city, what city would you pick from?
I would pick Los Angeles, I went to LA when I was younger and I just fell in love with it. Whenever I think of the “American dream” I personally think of LA. With that being said, Beverly Hills has always sparked my interest. Something about the luxury just captivates me. Both of these cities are full of life, fun and luxury. This is how I envision my style.
If you could describe your style with a celebrity, what celebrity would you pick from?
I would choose Britney spears. Britney is iconic, chaotic, full of life and energy. I thrive for being iconic, whenever I piece together an outfit I ask myself how would this look to others? Not that I dress for others but it certainly helps knowing that others are loving your outfit just as much as you.
Who was your biggest influence in fashion? A designer, a parent, a family member, a celebrity, a city, yourself? How do you get influenced today?
I have always taken inspiration from movies, TV shows, music videos and of course celebrities. It’s hard to say ‘one’ person or thing influenced me. Overtime your style changes and you start to experiment. My main inspiration comes from the 90s, I love the low waisted and tiny top combination. As a young girl, I owe it to myself and my confidence to show off what I’ve got. It’s not going to be like this forever so why not flaunt it all whilst you can? Don’t get me wrong, of course I can be classy and covered. I don’t think you can go wrong with a long black dress with a pair of high heels and a big curly bun.
Who believes in you most? Who helps you bring your desires and your passions to life? Who shares the love for fashion with you?
I would say my mum, boyfriend and best friend believe in me the most. All of my family and friends believe in me, but these three never fail to remind me I am capable of achieving my dreams. My boyfriend is always the one who reassures me I am worthy of my dreams, my mum is the one who disciplines me and reminds me I have to work for what I want and my Bestfriend shares the same interests, goals and passions as me which keeps me motivated in what I want to do, Amelia always celebrates my wins - whether they are big or small. Everyone needs their very own cheerleader.
Did you have anyone who didn't believe in your goals? How did you overcome this?
I have never had anyone directly tell me they don’t believe in my goals, however I have sensed through other peoples actions and reactions that they may not believe in me or my goals. Luckily, I find this easy to overcome. I detach from the negativity and envision what life will be like once I have reached my goals. The feeling I get when I think of my life in the future overrides any negativity and self doubt. At the end of the day, you are living for you. What good comes from listening to other people’s doubts they have about you? It’s got nothing to do with them so letting it get to me would be a waste of time and energy.
What is your favorite thing about the influencer industry?
Being able to influence and empower other people. As an influencer, people are always looking up to you. I have always wanted to remind younger girls that self confidence and self love is the key to success. I strongly believe that life is way too short to be hating on yourself, in a world full of synthetic I want to be authentic. If I can be someone else’s idol then I feel as though my job is complete.
What is your greatest desire? What would you like to accomplish in your lifetime professionally within the influencer industry?
Like most, I desire success. My biggest dream is to model and make it big time. Models and influencers have great reputations and they are idolised by most of the world. I desire to be the girl who younger girls want to be when they’re older.
What has been your great accomplishment to date?
I competed in Miss England where you advance to Miss World, one of the biggest pageants in the world. This was my second pageant, and I intend on going again until I win my crown.
