Alexandra's Show in the UK shows us we love a 'DARK PEAK' Alexandra Show - 12 inspiring looks that left us wanting more

ALEXANDRA NOVACKI UNVEILS HER 2025 ‘DARK PEAK’ COUTURE COLLECTION AT THE LIVERPOOL WALKER ART GALLERY.

Designer Alexandra takes us on a journey through her childhood, revealing how her hometown inspired the launch of her latest collection that she showed us and a full house of 200 guests on October 5th. The designer reflected on a challenging period when she felt disconnected from her work and ‘not feeling my best self’.  Alexandra found comfort in the familiar landscapes of Derbyshire, a region celebrated for its stunning countryside, rolling hills, and iconic peaks like Kinder Scout... which is where the designer found herself as a child growing up. Seeing a glimpse of the designer's childhood hometown and her energy at the time of creating her art and magic through the clothing was the gateway to something we found intense that evening. Intense in a way that felt powerful, creative and stood out to us as someone ready to emerge from the dark deep. This backdrop serves as the perfect muse for her collection, aptly named ‘The Dark Peak,’ a tribute not only to her home but also to the often-melancholic British weather and her own past struggles.

Right from the name of the presentation - we were hooked. The Dark Peak Couture Show... at a beautiful, historic art gallery... on an Autumn evening in the United Kingdom - we're there. And Alexandra did not disappoint our first time seeing her magic.

After eight months of preparation, Alexandra unveiled a breathtaking show that seamlessly blended autumnal aesthetics with sophistication and luxury. The venue was full of mystery and charm and the models knew what they came for... to make the designer's dreams come into reality. They came to put on a show my friends. The show was an emotional walk down the designers mind, her hometown, her passion and detail to her art. From the actual runway show to the execution and how the show was managed... to the models, venue, after-party, etc. Alexandra does not come to play. She comes with a message. Which is exactly what 200 people left with that evening.

The Show took place at the famous Walker Gallery. The Walker Art Gallery is an art gallery in Liverpool, which houses one of the largest art collections in England outside London. The Walker Art Gallery's collection dates from 1819, which makes for the perfect back drop for THE DARK PEAK Couture Show. It truly made the 'first impressions' of what was to come a mystery, historical and with an ambiance that brought THE DARK PEAK to life.

Next, we had the actual presentation. The runway show consisted of 12 looks from the designer Alexandra Novacki. The venue provided an exquisite backdrop as models glided down the runway, their hair styled with grandeur reminiscent of Queen Charlotte from Bridgerton, thanks to the talented Katie Walsh, who conjured some of the dramatic looks just hours before the event. The makeup artistry, led by Lydia Lynch, ensured the models brought fierce energy to the runway, captivating the audience.

The show left us wanting more. With the 12 looks we saw gliding down the runway, it felt like magic. The Fall/Autumn feel to it all, the darkness, the authenticity, the showing of someone's soul - who is putting it all out there for the world to view down a runway was absolutely stunning. And it kept playing in our head when we left... we want more.

When I say more, I mean literally! THIS SHOW WAS THAT GOOD. That we left feeling inspired - not just by the fashion but the total ambiance that Alexandra Novacki nailed with this show. From the location to her models to her looks - she had a vision that she brought to life that night at Walker Art Gallery.

AFTER - PARTY:
The celebration continued at the Municipal Hotel, one of Liverpool's architectural gems, known for its stunning Second Empire design and adorned with sandstone figures that pay homage to the arts, sciences, and industries of the city. This choice of venue was not merely a backdrop but a carefully curated extension of the night’s theme, enhancing the overall experience.

MEETING ALEXANDRA:
When asked about her future as a designer, Alexandra expressed her eagerness to dive into new projects. As an individual who always needs to be working on something that she believes in she is ready to ‘take the lead’ on her creative process and continue to push boundaries and break away from the norm even though she is ‘a country girl at heart’.

What is our opinion on an Alexandra Novacki Show?

Our opinion is not only do we want more - but we need more. Her darkest peak is here to stay for a minute... so I do hope she enjoys the views from that peak she climbed her way up in that dark hour.
